What is The Network: Towards Unity for Health ?
The Network: TUFH is a global association of individuals, groups,
institutions and organisations committed to improving and maintaining
health in the communities they have a mandate to serve.
The Network: TUFH is a Non-Governmental Organisation in official
relationships with the World Health Organization (WHO).
What can The Network: TUFH do for you and your institution?
The Network: TUFH promotes the dissemination of new ideas, experiences,
and results from research relevant to its aims. The Network: TUFH
publishes the peer-reviewed, unique journal, Education for Health:
Change in Learning and Practice. Also, the biannual Network: TUFH
Newsletter provides current news on member institutions, regional
activities and future events. It has a circulation of over 3500 copies.
Each year The Network: TUFH organises a conference on current issues
relevant to the aims of the organisation. These annual international
conferences, which always foster active participation and a collegial
atmosphere, provide opportunities to identify new colleagues from
like-minded organisations and to strengthen existing links, while
stimulating new ideas and refreshing approaches to the responsibilities
we share.
Active co-operation, mutual assistance and support among its members
stands out as a most important function of The Network: TUFH.
Collaborative activities range from consultations at the individual
level to externally funded, longitudinal, multi-institutional
co-operative projects.
The Network: TUFH gives its members an opportunity to access
information and resources at a global international level.
