Bridging Research and Policy project
call for preliminary case studies
ODI are looking for case study examples of research influencing policy to add to a series they are producing. The website link they give provides quite a lot of explanation, including giving a list of the case studies they already have. The Global Development Network (GDN) are looking for more case studies on the topic of bridging research and policy on development issues and we had hoped that you might be able to contribute. Time is running short and GDN is providing US$1000 for 1000-word case studies! The Bridging Research and Policy project aims to collect 50 case studies of research-policy linkage during 2002. Thirty case study proposals have now been approved, but we urgently need more good proposals if we are to reach the target of 50 cases by the end of the year. The cases can focus on a specific project, a policy process or the work of an institution. For more information and examples of completed cases, please see: www.gdnet.org/subpages/rapnet/case_studies_intro.html Please have a look at the website and send a proposal to me (j.court@odi.org.uk) if you are still interested. Please get back to me if you have further questions - and please pass on this mail to any other colleagues who may have useful cases to contribute. Proposals would need to be in as soon as possible and the full cases in by the end of the year.
