The GEGA > Secretariat is > housed within The Health Systems Trust, a Non-Government Organisation, which > is a key role player in facilitating health systems research and development > in South Africa. > > We are looking for a dynamic and energetic person who can assist the > GEGA Coordinator in supporting and promoting the work of the Gauges > and the GEGA > Secretariat. > Responsibilities > * Supporting capacity development initiatives, including curriculum > development > * Tracking the activities of the Gauges > * Responding to information requests from the Gauges > * Preparing and editing reports and documents > * Identifying new partners and networking with other groups > * Planning for the GEGA Organisational Meeting > * Updating materials for the webpage > * Preparing the monthly newsletter > Requirements > * Appropriate university degree or equivalent with a background in > public health or public policy > * Good understanding of health equity issues, health systems issues, > and public health > * Strong writing and communication skills > * Research skills, including internet research > * A commitment to health equity, community empowerment, and > improvement of health systems > * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team > > More information on the job post can be found at www.hst.org.za under > "News".
