The winner will be selected from among the nominees by a jury composed of international health professionals and the Board of Directors of the Global Health Council. Any organization from any country in the world that has substantively improved global health may be nominated for the award; the organization may be a charitable institution, a private company, or a public entity. The Award will be presented on May 31, 2002 in Washington, D.C. at a special Awards Ceremony during the Global Health Council's Annual International Conference, Global Health in Times of Crisis.
