Tracking Changes and Optimising Performance
Challenges and Lessons Learned The Fact Sheet, titled "Challenges and Lessons Learned" gives an overview of the experiences made by the two mentioned organisations during the implementation of the Regional Dimension Project "Monitoring and Evaluation" (M&E) within the RHI. In close co-operation with the RHI project partners, the M&E project has identified activities to track changes in services provided, so as to make corrective alterations, if necessary. The innovative nature of the RHI and the diversity of projects call for uniformity and clarity in the use of terms and levels of measurement. An online version of the fact sheet is available at: http://www.asia-initiative.org/news_fact_sheets.html. EC/UNFPA Initiative for Reproductive Health in Asia The European Commission- and UNFPA-funded Initiative works together with 19 European NGOs and over 60 local partners towards improving the overall reproductive health status in seven South-South East Asian countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Viet Nam). An emphasis is put upon providing especially young people with quality sexual and reproductive health services and information. The Regional Monitoring and Evaluation project, guarantees that the overall achievements of all 40 project activities in each country can be measured. The Information and Communication Network (ComNet) is a project run by the German Foundation for World Population (DSW) in the frame of the EC/UNFPA Initiative for Reproductive Health in Asia (RHI).
